Professional experience 

Elli is a researcher at the Centre for Cities, a non-profit research and policy institute that supports the economic performance of UK cities. This involves both quantitative and qualitative research and authorship of reports and blogs. Her key research areas are housing and planning, smart cities, infrastructure and skills. Her primary interest is how cities can be made to be more prosperous, sustainable and equitable places to live and work, through design, governance and policy.
 
She is a guest editor and contributor to the Urban Design Group Journal, and contributes regularly to the LSE Review of Books. She has previously worked in community engagement and heritage interpretation with the National Trust.
